In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, San Dimas Community Hospital is hosting a special Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale Fundraising event on Thursday, October 26th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, open to the public.

The staff at San Dimas will host a bake sale and showcase a variety of raffle baskets. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Please join the San Dimas staff in this special event! In addition, the hospital is offering $50 mammograms throughout the month of October.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among American women. Each year in the United States, about 240,000 women get breast cancer and 42,000 women die from the disease. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast. Doctors use a mammogram to look for early signs of breast cancer. Regular mammograms can find breast cancer early, sometimes up to three years before it can be felt.

Please take advantage of this unique opportunity and get your mammogram while enjoying a sweet treat from our best bakers. For more information on breast cancer: https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/breast/basic_info/mammograms.htm
