San Dimas Community Hospital recognized for advancing fairness and transparency in healthcare compensation
San Dimas Community Hospital, a proud member of Prime Healthcare, has been recognized by the Lown Institute for excellence in Pay Equity, earning an “A” grade on the 2025–26 Lown Institute Hospitals Index. This recognition places San Dimas among a select group of hospitals nationwide that are leading the way in equitable compensation practices and workforce fairness.

This recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for San Dimas Community Hospital. In Spring 2025, the hospital earned another “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, reflecting its ongoing commitment to protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest national safety standards. San Dimas has also received five-star ratings from Healthgrades for Hip Fracture Treatment and Gallbladder Surgery, and was named a “100 Top Hospital” by Fortune/PINC AI. These honors underscore the hospital’s culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based care.
San Dimas Community Hospital supports patient safety through robust infection prevention protocols, advanced medication management systems, and daily safety huddles designed to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
The Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility is the only ranking to combine metrics of health equity and value of care alongside patient outcomes, for more than 2,700 acute care and 800 critical access hospitals nationwide—offering a holistic view of hospitals as total community partners. In the sixth annual rankings, the 2025-26 Lown Index evaluates hospitals on over 50 measuresincluding novel metrics such as community benefit, racial inclusivity, and avoidance of overuse. Data sources include Medicare fee-for-service and Medicare Advantage claims, CMS patient safety data and hospital cost reports, and IRS 990 forms, among others.
